ART CRAWL- AN ART JOURNEY

Join in on an evening-long adventure through the different types of art forms that ART BAR hosts (the “crawl” is the friends you make along the way).

The evening begins with standup comedy performed by Dakota Ray Hebert (as seen on Just For Laughs, CTV’s Shelved, Marvel’s Echo) and it ends with Dylan singing Semi Sonic’s 'Closing Time' on karaoke as he pushes people out the door at 2AM. But what happens in between is an ART JOURNEY, including a DANCE PARTY with guidance by Jag Noir, a large scale GROUP PAINTING in the 9 Mile Offsale/Pool Paint Room, stupid stories and games with SMART BAR TRIVIA, CONFESSIONS, PRIZES and SURPRISES. YOU ARE ART!

DAKOTA RAY HEBERT

Dakota Ray Hebert (she/they) is from Meadow Lake, SK, and a proud member of English River First Nation. Dakota is currently based in Saskatoon, SK, where she and her sweetheart have recently opened Art Bar, the city’s first formal comedy club.

Dakota just got back from Los Angeles where she worked alongside Modern Family’s Julie Bowen. While down south, Dakota also performed at The Comedy Store (via open mic potluck), Upright Citizens Brigade, Flappers Comedy Club, and The Hollywood Improv Lab.

Dakota has two comedy albums out (I'LL GIVE YOU AN INDIAN ACT and TRAILER TREASURE), both are available anywhere you buy and stream music.

Dakota has performed at all three Just For Laughs festivals in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal, as well as Winnipeg Comedy Festival in 2022. You can watch some of her earlier work on New Wave of Standup and Comedy Night with Rick Mercer (CBC Gem).

JAG NOIR
Jag Noir is a seasoned touring performer with multiple national US and Canadian tours under her belt. She has had the opportunity to perform and choreograph for North America's finest, but her passion is based in using performance, drag and education to create and build queer community.
