Chemainus Comedy Club is thrilled to welcome Erica Sigurdson!

You've heard her on CBC's The Debaters, you've seen her with the Snowed In Comedy Tour, and now she's performing in Chemainus for the first time ever.

Vancouver-based Erica Sigurdson has been delighting audiences across Canada and beyond for close to two decades. Having been described as a ‘sugar-coated razor blade’ she is equal parts charming and sardonic with her take on the world around her. She has been featured more than 50 times on the hit show The Debaters on CBC Radio, performed at every major comedy festival in Canada as well as performed in Singapore, The Philippines, Thailand, Afghanistan and Iceland.

Henok Meresa has performed across Canada, including appearances at Just for Laughs Vancouver and the Rifflandia Festival. He was part of the OK, DOPE Comedy Tour across Vancouver Island and performs regularly in Victoria, where he's based.

Recently named Best Comedian in the Georgia Straight’s Best of Vancouver 2024 and a regular on CBC Radio’s The Debaters, Katie-Ellen’s artful delivery, surprising imagination and unique sensibility (that falls somewhere between the library and the locker-room) has made her a favourite of audiences across Canada and the U.S.

Her television appearances include nationally televised standup sets on CTV, CBC and APTN and she’s been featured on major comedy festival lineups such as San Fransico Sketchfest and Just for Laughs Vancouver. Katie-Ellen is also a 3-time Canadian National Open Water 5k Swimming Champion. That’s unrelated to comedy, but it explains the shoulders.
