Coup Comedy Takes Over Vinyl Envy

Coup Comedy returns to Vinyl Envy with another action packed show! After the success of our first show, we’re bringing some of our local favourites with us this time. Featuring stand-up comedy by Alex Forman of Ok, Dope, Sam Benty, Zach Lewis, and Javier Hernandez. Hosted by Quincy Thomas. To finish the show off, we’ll have DJ sets by Coup Comedy producers Quincy Thomas and Javier Hernandez.

This show is known to sell out, so get your tickets early. 

Alex Forman has spent the last 23 years on stage as an improviser, and for the past 3 years they’ve channelled that energy into stand-up. As one half of OK Dope, they’ve appeared at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and Just For Laughs. A regular with Entertainment Village Improv and The Crowdwork Show, they bring a silly, self-deprecating edge to the stage—blending characters, crowd work, and sharp punchlines into stand-up that feels alive in the moment.

Sam Benty is a musical comedian who travels all around Western Canada, and sometimes other parts of Canada too. His funny songs and oddball jokes will delight and bemuse those ready to accept. He was the 2023 winner of Calgary’s Funniest Comic, and has been featured on Canada’s Got Talent. His album “Omnichord Troubadore” can be found on all the streaming services everywhere. 

Zach Lewis is a Victoria based comic specializing in hosting and roasting. Born amongst the hippies of Gabriola Island, Zach brings a unique brand of island goofiness and social commentary to the stage.

Quincy Thomas (Youtube) is a stand-up comedian from Yellowknife, NT, currently based in Vancouver, BC. Quincy has been doing stand-up comedy for over 10 years, and has been featured on CBC's The Debaters, Just for Laughs Originals, and the Arctic Comedy Festival among other things.
