Chill X Studio Standup Comedy Class is an opportunity to learn the basics of standup comedy including:
Joke Structure
Stage Presence
Timing
And More!
All in a fun, supportive environment. Classes are kept small to ensure everyone receives personalized instruction and the space to try new things. By the end of the four-week class you'll have a unique 5-minute standup set.
Classes are 2.5 hours, once per week for 4-weeks. At the end of 4-weeks, students will participate in a Showcase Show, with an audience, where you’ll present your polished 5-minute standup set.
You’ll receive a video recording of your showcase set.

Showcase Presentation: The Student Showcase show will take place in the evening on **MONDAY** June 8th, 2026 starting at 7:30pm.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Named “Best Comedian” in The Georgia Straight’s Best of Vancouver 2024, Katie-Ellen Humphries is a nationally touring professional comedian with almost two decades of live performance experience.
Perhaps best known for their work on CBC’s hit show The Debaters, where they work as both an-air talent and as an Associate Producer, Katie-Ellen has a passion for supporting new performers and helping others to find their own comedic voice and explore personal creative expression.
