Luba Magnus is one of the most unique comedic acts you can find. Often seen mixing her stand-up with music and drawings, she’s a staple in Canada’s alt-comedy scene. Her debut stand-up album “Baba Luba” has received critical acclaim: NPR’s Bullseye With Jesse Thorn described it as “enthusiastic, warm, and weird” in their 2022 Stand-Up Comedy Spectacular, amongst acts such as Tig Notaro, Jen Kirkman, and Roy Wood Jr. Paste Magazine listed it #10 in their Best Comedy Albums of 2022, describing it as “equal parts clever and nonsensical with her creative wordplay”.
